| Abstract | In the OASIS-5 trial, fondaparinux reduced major bleeding with similar short-term efficacy as enoxaparin but lowered death and stroke during long-term follow-up. The mechanism of lower bleeding and improved efficacy with fondaparinux is uncertain. |
